"During both acupuncture and shiatsu massage treatments, Wendy helped me to understand the toll that four recurrent losses had taken on my mind and body as I tried to conceive a second child. Her patience, kind words and gentle humour were much appreciated each week as I attempted the small changes she suggested to diet and exercise. ... I conceived for a fifth time, this time, against all the odds, our beautiful baby was born and our family is now complete."

Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine can sometimes help illnesses that modern medicine has difficulty treating.

Consultation, Treatment and Costs

At the first consultation a full history of your condition is taken to determine your Chinese diagnosis. This then informs your individual treatment plan. The number and frequency of treatments will depend on individual circumstance.

Single-use disposable needles are used. They are inserted at key locations. You will usually feel a mild ache or tingle when needles are inserted. They are left in place for 20 minutes or so. It is advisable to wear loose clothing to enable easy access to arms and legs.

Wendy is a registered member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and complies with BAcC codes of practice and ethics.

Takes about an hour and a half
Subsequent treatments £40

Chinese Herbs

Herbs can be used as a stand alone treatment or combined with Acupuncture. Herbal prescriptions are tailored to individual specific needs and can be taken in various forms for example: raw herbs, powders or pills, to suit your circumstances and preference.

As with all Chinese Medicine modalities, at initial consultation a full history of your condition will be taken. A formula will be devised taking into account your traditional Chinese Medicine Diagnosis, the duration of your problem, lifestyle and age. Progress is monitored at regular consultations and adjustment to the formula is made to address changes in your condition.

Wendy is a member of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM) and complies with RCHM codes of practice and ethics.

RCHM approved suppliers are used, who comply with GMP approved standards. (GMP = Good Manufacturing Practices as regulated by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency - MHRA). No endangered plants or animals are used.

Initial consultation £39
Takes up to an hour
Subsequent treatments £25
Takes about 30 mins

The cost of herbs is in addition to the consultation fee. If you are also having acupuncture treatment the cost of herbal consultation is included. The cost of herbs will depend on the prescription (type and amount)
