Conditions Treated

Traditional Chinese Medicine can use used to treat both acute and chronic conditions. The World Health Organisation (WHO) published a review of acupuncture clinical trials in 2002 and identified a considerable list of conditions that can be treated by acupuncture, including:

  • CHEST: Asthma, chronic chest problems, cough, hayfever
  • CIRCULATORY: Angina, high blood pressure, palpitations, poor circulation, Raynaud's Disease
  • DIGESTIVE: Indigestion, heartburn, nausea, constipation, diarrhoea, IBS
  • EAR/NOSE/THROAT: Blurred vision, dry eyes, sinusitis, frequent colds/sore throats, tinnitus
  • EMOTIONAL: Stress, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, insomnia
  • GYNAECOLOGICAL: Menopause, heavy/painful/irregular periods, Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), fibroids, endometriosis
  • NEUROLOGICAL: Headache, migraine, Bell's palsy, neuralgia
  • PAIN: Back/neck/shoulder/joint pain, sciatica, rheumatoid and osteo-arthritis
  • SKIN: Acne, eczema, psoriasis
  • URINARY: Cystitis, prostate problems, incontinence
